Taken on a recent visit to Sydney Cafe, at Circular Quay, on Sydney Harbour. Sydney Harbour Bridge of course features prominently, with Circular Quay train station in the foreground. Sydney Cafe may not be the cheapest place you’ll dine at, but the experience is always worthwhile.

Budgewoi Lake, NSW Central Coast, where the waters meet

A photo taken a couple of years ago on the shore of Budgewoi Lake, on the NSW Central Coast.

Budgewoi is an Indigenous Australian name for the area meaning “where the waters meet”. Budgewoi Lake in one of the waters in question, the Tasman Sea, situated about a kilometre directly behind me, being the other.

This is my oldest surviving Instagram photo, which I posted on Thursday 5 April 2012. I originally joined Instagram (IG) in late 2011, but only uploaded a few photos at that point. After being on IG for a while I decided the images pre-dating this one were not sufficiently Instagram-y, and deleted them.

This photo was taken in the Sydney suburb of Randwick, at a time when similar stencil type artworks were appearing around the surrounding streets. Unfortunately, I do not know who the artist is, but if you have any info, please contact me.
